Rik Catlow studied illustration at the Kubert School and the School of Visual Arts in New York City. He has worked in NYC for the last four years as a web designer, having designed sites for companies such as bluefly, Bertlesman and N2K/CDNow. He won an American Graphic Design Award for his work on rocktropolis.com. Catlow's artwork is inspired by pop culture, images of the past, and urban decay. His multimedia artworks are a stream of unrelated images that form one unified composition. Rik is interested in typography, not as a communication tool, but as a compositional element. See more of his art at his website, or drop him an e-mail. ©2004 Huge Magazine |
